Brucellosis: do not drink unboiled milk
In summer the number of cases of brucellosis rises in the districts. The disease is passed to people from sick cattle, sheep and goats, mostly through unboiled milk, fresh cheese (suzma, kurut from unboiled milk) and at lambing and slaughter.
- Boil milk, buy dairy products only where they have passed veterinary control.
- Use gloves at lambing and slaughter.
- At long fever, sweating and pain in the joints see a doctor; the test is free.
The vaccination of livestock is carried out by the State Veterinary Inspectorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources.
